World AIDS Day is an opportunity to unite in the fight against HIV, to show support for people living with the virus, and to commemorate those who have lost their lives from an AIDS-related illness. Globally, there are an estimated 38 million people who have the virus. We take today to remind people that there is a critical need for AIDS response and awareness.
