What We Provide
What type of care does Intensive Specialty Hospital provide
We provide care for patients with acute medical needs within a specialized setting. With illnesses ranging from infectious diseases, cardiovascular disorders and multi-organ failures, patients are admitted to Intensive Specialty when they require hospitalization for an extended length of time.

What makes ISH different from other hospitals?
As Northwest Louisiana’s Long-Term Acute Care (LTAC) specialists, our focus is on treating critically ill patients by utilizing intensive treatment programs. Our patients receive aggressive clinical and therapeutic care on a 24-hour, 7-days-a-week basis. These programs are not generally available or appropriate for other care settings, including traditional hospitals.

With exhaustive treatments, daily physician evaluations and a personalized approach to recovery, we focus on achieving the best possible outcome for every patient.
Our team is comprised of an all-inclusive list of healthcare professionals who consult with each other and work collaboratively to play an active role in each patient’s treatment. With this interdisciplinary approach, our patients can expect to receive a comprehensive treatment plan tailored uniquely for them. Our team meets regularly to discuss each patient’s progress and develop their recovery goals.
